Republican Congressional Debate Pre-show, 2020

In 2020, WCYB hosted a live debate for the Republican U.S. House primary in Tennessee's first district. I produced this pre-debate special and created and edited many of the stories.

News 5 This Weekend, 2022

As anchor and producer of News 5 This Weekend, I've added new creativity and energy including cold opens with varied music and styles to better connect to the story. The A-block in this newscast focuses on the lost of a local track athlete who was killed. I told the story with a variety of studio settings, matching tone and music, and pre-shot social media video from my cell phone to make it more human and flow better with the story telling.

Faith Over Fear: Remembering Josh Wandell, 2020

I produced and anchored this 15-minute special honoring a former elementary school principal who became a community figure for his brave battle with ALS. The program recounted his journey with the disease and was streamed live before his funeral service.

StampedeTV, 2018

As producer of my college's student newscast, I led a small team of reporters in enterprise reporting, encouraging them to look beyond campus events to find stories few people know about. My job involved assigning stories, writing, directing and video editing. In this newscast, I created the graphics package, shot the cold open with a handheld camera and created the promos.

StampedeTV Homecoming Edition, 2017

For the homecoming edition newscast, I stepped up the production style with our new TriCaster TC1, which I had researched and advocated for. This newscast uses a hybrid virtual and physical set I designed and set up using parts from our existing set. The large topical graphics are added via chroma key and tracked to match the camera motion during the cold open. Other parts of the newscast involve creative framing of existing set elements and frequent use of live boxes.
